ARK Survival Evolved is the original 2017 game with a massive community base and a huge Steam Workshop mod catalog. ARK Survival Ascended is the Unreal Engine 5 remaster from 2023. The two games have separate community servers — TOPSPAWN currently focuses on Survival Evolved.
Rates multiply the vanilla values: taming, harvest, XP, egg laying. X1 = vanilla / hardcore. X10 = casual, great for evening play. X25+ = heavily boosted for fast progression. Each server usually lists its rates in its description.
A Cluster is a group of linked ARK servers where you can transfer your dinos and items between maps. Common Cluster setups include The Island + Ragnarok + Aberration + Extinction + community maps (Valguero, Crystal Isles, etc.).
